Ayurvedic methods:
Mukhalepam - This is a herbal face pack with specially made herbal powder and cream. This Prevents and avoids wrinkles and improves the skin tone. It is also good for the eyes.
Njavaratheppu (massage with rice pudding) - In this treatment, part of the body or whole body is perspiredby application of Njavara rice pudding. Helps in improving the skin texture and muscle tone. Helps in conditions of muscular dystrophy and stiffness.
Kayasekam (Pizhichil) - In this treatment lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by two to four trained therapists in special rhythmic way continuously for about 60 to 90 minutes per day for a period of 7 to 21 days.
Snehapanam – It involves intake of medicinal oils and/or clarified butter (ghee). Ghee, the golden elixir in Ayurvedic treatment, is produced by means of a laborious process. It is an excellent neurological tonic because it nourishes the brain and nerves.Ghee stimulates an intense and long-lasting physical detox. During this cleansing process, fat-soluble toxins are excreted via the intestine.Snehapanam is used therapeutically and as a preparation for Panchakarma treatment.
Virechana karma (Purgation) in which Eranda taila (Castor Oil) is taken with milk to cleanse the body of toxins.
Thalam (Shiro Basti) - The medicinal oil is retained over the head in a sealed manner with a suitable cap. This process provides nourishment to the brain and it prevents brain damaging. It enhances and nourishes the brain cells. Thalam is a redesigned way of Ayurveda treatment specially for stress, insomnia, tension and anxiety etc.
Medicated Steam Bath - Certain precious herbal leaves and herbs and the steam is passed to the whole body for 10 to 20 minutes. This treatment is good for certain skin disease, eliminate impurities from the body, to improve the tone of the body, to reduce fat etc.
Ksheera vasthi / Sneha vasthi - Vasthi is one of the intestinal therapies that play a key role in Panchakarma regimens. A medicinal enema using herb oils or a broth made from medicinal herbs rids the intestine of harmful substances and helps restore the natural balance to bacterial flora. It is the best treatment in Vata disorders.Aides in revival of body tissues leading to glowy and sound skin.
